W. A. Petrakis has invested in the latest in trenchless technologies by acquiring our own Vermeer 45x55 DR and Vermeer D9x13 horizontal directional drills (HDD). The directional drill allows us to install utilities over distances with minimal disturbances to the terrain, landscaping and existing above-ground structures. Where conventional open cut trenching methods would be extremely costly or otherwise impossible, the HDD allows us to simply bore under these obstacles. For example, a river crossing or heavily trafficked highways. The Vermeer 45x55 DR gives us the ability to install utilities up to 1000 ft with minimal excavation required.

Advantages of Directional Drilling

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is an environmentally friendly process to install pipe underground with minimal excavating required. We are able to install utilities underground in areas where conventional excavating would otherwise be impossible such as a river crossing. It also opens up applications such as installing utilities under heavily trafficked highways.

Experience

W.A. Petrakis has been using the method of directional drilling for 2 years. We look forward to completing whatever size project you would have for us.
